It could one HECK of a night of entertainment around Magnolia Avenue tonight. The Lark Theater is hosting its St. Patrick's Day festivities of dancing and music from 5:30-8 p.m. with the film Jig and the Black Brothers playing live. Rush across the street for a live production of Cabaret at 8 p.m. Food and drink will be available.
Since it's supposed to rain through Saturday, here are a few other things we can do, hopefully without getting too wet.
• Donate the stuff that's cluttering your home, then shop for fresh stuff to take home. Actually, it's amazing what you can find at Saturday's Giant Indoor Yard Sale at the Corte Madera Community Center. Proceeds from the sale benefit college scholarships for girls graduating from Redwood High School, thanks to the Corte Madera Women's Improvement Club. Donations of collectibles, jewelry, clothing, accessories, books, games, toys, baby items, linens, dishes, household items, CDs/DVDs, electronics, etc. will be accepted Friday, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The sale is Saturday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• School-age children, from kindergarten and up are invited to attend the regular after-school storytime at the Larkspur Library. The 30-45 minute program of longer picture books takes place most Fridays at 3:30 p.m. in the children's room.
• Get worked up with a complimentary cardio class at Lululemon Athletica in The Village every Saturday at 9 p.m.
• OK, just in case you miss him at Saturday's farmers market at Marin Country Mart, join Christopher B. Smith at Book Passage in Corte Madera on Sunday at 11 a.m.
