On Sunday April 21st a wide range of people converged at Redwood High for Earth Day Marin's festival and day of action on climate change solutions. Photos, links & ways to get involved.

Last Sunday April 21st a wide range of Marin community members converged at Redwood High School to take part in Earth Day Marin's day of action on climate change solutions and in a free festival. The Marin Independent Journal reported a crowd of about 3,000 attendees. Hundreds participated in the day of action in the auditorium and at the exhibitor booths during the day. Join Earth Day Marin's facebook or twitter for ongoing links to actions you can take and useful resources to help you reduce your footprint and support larger, vitally-needed changes to turn the tide on climate change. For more on our perspective on what we need to do please read Marin Voice, "We can reverse climate change" by Hannah Doress (spoiler alert - we have to act now)

The Earth Day Marin Festival is a nonprofit free event produced by Hannah Doress Events. The event is funded by the financial and inkind support of our generous sponsors. Check out the climate change solutions efforts that these organizations are involved with and join in with their efforts. Earth Day Marin is a nonprofit fiscal project of MarinLink.

Earth Day Marin also sponsored a series of events in April, two of which will take place on Saturday, April 27th: Slide Ranch's Spring Fling from 10am-4pm, ideal for families with children, and Unstuff Your Life with bestselling sustainable organizer Andrew Mellen at San Geronimo Valley Community Center at 10am, ideal for anyone who has too much stuff in their home and wants to divest of it sustainably and have a more organized life.
