Zito Leaving His Kentfield Compound

House Hunt: The Giants pitcher is putting his estate on the market for nearly $11.5 million

We don't all have the talent to be a Major League ballplayer, but for a mere $11.5 million we can live like one.

That's the asking price for Villa Della Pace, the 2.25-acre Kentfield estate which belongs to Giants pitcher Barry Zito. That's right, Zito is pulling up stakes. Perhaps the commute across the Golden Gate Bridge got to be just too much even for him.

According to Zito's publicist Kathy Jacobson, the motive for the move was a shorter commute. "Barry loves Marin and the house; he was married there," she told The Huffington Post. "But with the drive over the bridge all the way across town to the ballpark, it was just too much, especially with a new marriage."
