Another Winn Cup Style development proposed!

I am shocked to discover that BayRock, an Oakland based developer, wants to tear down a 32 unit apartment complex at 1441 Casa Buena Drive and create a development with a density of 40 units per acre, the same as the Winn Cup site! They propose to create 138 apartments with 2 and 4 story buildings. This area is not appropriate for high density development… it is NOT within walking distance of public transportation or grocery stores so each tenant will have to rely on their cars to procure services. The developers expect 1.6 cars per bedroom… you do the math. For an area that already has congested access this is a nightmare. Our community must weigh in on this proposal and stop it in its tracks!
