Doughnuts at School...

I have never jumped on the band wagon of no sugar in schools. I do feel that everything has its place, and special occasions deserve a celebration and if that means a cupcake here and there, so be it.

BUT, with that said, I'm definitely opposed to promoting exercise, and the reward is a sugary snack!

My daughter informed me today, that her school is promoting the "ride your bike to school " day, and as a reward, you get a doughnut!

I have a real issue with this. A bill has been passed, that will allow schools to opt out of the "New Nutrition  Guidelines for Schools" if the cost is too high for them to make the changes.

So, our children must be weighed in school, and the schools will continue to provide poor nutrition, which includes doughnuts as a  bribe to exercise!

Please sign my petition to Ban weighing Kids in school! There are no positive results, and the negative impact can last a life time!!
