So, How Are We Doin'? Grade Larkspur-Corte Madera Patch

We get our fair share of criticism — constructive and otherwise. But I'm curious to know if we're meeting your needs and what we can be doing better. Really.

I've been taking the Larkspur-Corte Madera Patch colors around local businesses, the chambers of commerce and schools in an effort to reach out and establish real-world connections with our thousands of daily readers. I've heard some good questions, compliments and constructive criticism about the website, which turns 2 years old in December.

Now we ask you some questions: Are we getting you the kind of news you want? Are we getting it to you the way you want? What part of Larkspur-Corte Madera Patch do you like the most? The least? (We can take it, gulp, really).

It is apparent we have an established following, and that you are a discerning, intelligent, caring bunch. I'd like to know your thoughts on how we can give you even more of what you need in the course of your day. Sorry, that doesn't include free daily coffee and scones, but maybe we'll set up something special.

But if there's anything else you think we should be doing, let me know in comments.

I like the events listing--helps to plan the day. The police log is informative--a traffic alert is helpful. How 'bout some local restaurant reviews-seasonal specials, etc? I think the Patch is doing a good job--It doesn't seem to be as interactive as one might hope--the listing of Favorites didn't seem to get too much participation. I like seeing the PATCH logo on the stores and restaurants I frequent.

The story about the Rose Bowl reminded me that Corte Madera and Larkspur have considerable history; e.g. railroads, industries, businesses, etc. that I would like to know about. A vignette on same once in a while would be appreciated. Generally, I like the site and enjoy the ability to comment.

I wish there was more coverage of local sports. There are lots of sports clubs that people are involved in. It may be impossible to cover every single game; but a feature on each of the sports would be great. On my walks around Piper Park, I see the Larkspur cricket club playing and would like to know more about them.

I would like Kentfield to be included in the Larkspur-Corte Madera Patch. Kentfiled is currently not represented by any Patch.
