Iconic Jean Bean property on lower Christmas Tree Hill for sale.

Jean Bean cottage and (former) gardens on lower Christmas Tree Hill - for sale!

She is 105 years old and ready for a new beginning!

The 1907 Jean Bean cottage, and the separate lot next to it, are now both available for sale.  Built back before Corte Madera was even a Town, this beautiful property was recently divided into two parcels by a mandate from the County, due to the existance of a pathway that divided the lot.  The Jean Bean Path was created when the owner, Jean Bean, generously allowed people to cross her land. It is now a designated neighborhood trail for the purposes of safety and enjoyment by pedestrians. The stairs continue down to Old Corte Madera Square, which is just .3 mile away by car, and much shorter by foot!

Jean Bean was a nurse, teacher and gardener known for the beautiful terraced gardens which are now for sale as a separate lot.  She was also known for sharing her nursing skills and expertise with schools throughout the area, teaching about wellness and health well ahead of her time.
