$20 Argument Lands Man In Jail

Twin Cities Police Officers are called to mediate a dispute over a $20 bill, but find a parolee in possession of drug paraphernalia.

Collin Hoey said he just wanted his $20 back, but police officers gave him a ride to jail on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia instead.

Hoey reported to Twin Cities Police Officers that he had dropped a $20 bill and the gas station attendant refused to give it back. Officers determined the money did not belong to Hoey and discovered that he was on active probation with a search and seizure clause. During a search of the Hoey's vehicle Officers located drug residue in a baggy that he stated was cocaine.

During the investigation, Hoey admitted he had more cocaine at his residence. He was detained and transported to his residence at 9 Key Largo. Upon searching the residence Officers located drug paraphernalia and Hoey was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of probation, and booked into the Marin County Jail.
