CHP Offers New Driver Safety Class at Corte Madera Office

The leading cause of death for American's 15-20-years-old is motor vehicle collisions.

Contributed by California Highway Patrol:

On Wednesday, March 27 at 7 p.m., the California Highway Patrol (CHP) will be presenting a Start Smart Class at the CHP Marin Area Office which is located at 53 San Clemente Dr. in  Corte Madera.

The Start Smart program is a cooperative effort between the CHP, allied law enforcement agencies, teenagers, and their parents/guardians. The leading cause of death for Americans 15-20-years-old is motor vehicle collisions. The goal of the class is to help young drivers and their parents understand the responsibilities associated with driving a motor vehicle.

The class will also reveal how poor choices behind the wheel can change the lives of everyone involved. The purpose of this program is to reduce the number of teen-related injuries and deaths due to collisions.

There is no cost for attending the class. Parents and new drivers interested in attending the class need to RSVP with the Marin CHP office, by March 26 by calling at 415-924-1100.

Space is limited to the first 30 students and parents. Additional classes will be scheduled as needed.

Prop 37 would have exempted "organic" food from the labeling requirement. What sense doesRead More that make? (Answer: none.)
