Corte Madera Man Busted On Drug Charges

Petaluma police arrest Taylor after allegedly finding meth in his car during a traffic stop.

A 39-year-old Corte Madera man was arrested in Petaluma Friday evening when a police dog allegedly found several grams of methamphetamine in his vehicle, Petaluma police said.

Thomas James Taylor was pulled over at about 6:40 p.m. on the North McDowell Extension because of a vehicle equipment violation, police said.

The officer discovered he was on probation and subject to a warrantless search.

A K-9 unit allegedly found 6.25 grams of methamphetamine in Taylor's vehicle, police said.

He was arrested and booked at Sonoma County Jail.
