Firefighters were challenged by the location and access to the fire due to its location. Prompt notification of 9-1-1 and the initial actions by first arriving firefighters kept damage to a minimum. Fire damage was limited to the deck.  No damage occurred to either the main house or guest cottage. There were no injuries.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
