Fairfax Man Shows Off Alleged Death List

Suspect displays his tattoos, claiming they're names of people he killed, and is then arrested for shoplifting.

The following incidents were reported by the Twin Cities Police between August 15-21, 2012. Suspects are innocent unless proven guilty. Arrests do not necessarily equal convictions.

• A security officer for The Village Shopping Center reported he had received a call from a clerk at a business in the center advising there is a subject in the store showing everyone his tattoos, and he was saying they were the names of people he had killed. The Security Officer stated he tried to talk to the subject, but he was not making sense in the conversation. Officers located the subject and found him in possession of a pair of jeans which were identified by the store employee as having been stolen. A Fairfax man was arrested for Commercial Burglary. He was booked into the Marin County Jail.

• A business in the Village Shopping Center reported a brown leather bag, with leopard print, valued at $958 was stolen. When the Officer arrived, it was determined a yellow cardigan, valued at $238, was also taken. A Grand Theft report was taken for documentation.

• A San Rafael resident reported the window to her vehicle was broken and her purse, containing an iPod, credit cards and other miscellaneous items, was stolen. An Auto Burglary report was taken.

• A caller, via 9-1-1, reported a man just assaulted another man in front of the Silver Peso Bar. They advised the victim is standing by inside a neighboring business. A Corte Madera man was contacted and Officers checked the area for the other involved subject. Officers were unable to locate the second subject. The contacted subject declined any medical attention or any further action.

• A resident of the 400 block of Corte Madera Avenue reported she left her residence this morning and when she returned, she found her front door open. It was determined that the residence had been entered and jewelry and electronics, with an estimated value of $6,000, had been taken. A Residential Burglary report was taken.

• A resident in the 200 block of Morningside Drive reported her residence was entered, via a previously damaged window, and jewelry, an iMac computer and a Canon camera were taken. A Residential Burglary report was taken.

• A resident of the 20 block of Parkside Way reported her two daughters came to the residence and they are not welcome. She said they then left and were walking down the street. Officers responded and located the sisters. One of the subjects was determined to be in possession of narcotics paraphernalia. A Greenbrae woman was arrested for Possession of Narcotics Paraphernalia and released at the scene on a Misdemeanor Citation.

• Later in the week, a resident of the 20 block of Parkside Way reported his daughter, whom he believed had active warrants, was at the house. Officers located the daughter in the area. A Greenbrae woman was arrested on two misdemeanor warrants held by the Marin County Sheriff’s Office. She was booked at the Marin County Jail.

• A caretaker for a resident in the 70 block of Ardmore Road reported his client had some silverware stolen from her property. He was unsure of the time frame, and had no suspect information. A Theft report was taken for documentation.

• A Claremont resident reported that while his vehicle was parked in a lot at the Corte Madera Town Center, it was broken into via two windows being smashed. A computer and other electronic equipment were stolen. An Auto Burglary report was taken.

• A resident of the 200 block of Via La Paz reported her credit card number was used to make purchases online. The total loss at this time is $1,096. A Fraud report was taken and there is possible follow-up pending.

• A Sacramento resident reported that while her vehicle was parked in the gravel parking lot on Redwood Highway, north of the Village Shopping Center, the plates were stolen off her vehicle. A report was taken for the stolen license plates and they were entered into the Stolen Vehicle System.

• A Greenbrae resident reported that while her vehicle was parked in a lot in the Corte Madera Town Center, in the area of the Bay Club, her purse was taken from the vehicle. There were no signs of forced entry located on the vehicle. The purse contained approximately $100 cash, a checkbook and credit cards. An Auto Burglary report was taken.

• A resident of the 100 building of Lincoln Village Circle reported someone had entered her unlocked vehicle. She reported vehicle documents, three iPods, miscellaneous CD's and keys were taken. A report was taken to document the theft.

• A resident of the 500 block of South Eliseo Drive reported her son’s bicycle, a royal blue Cannondale, 21-speed bicycle, valued at approximately $600, had been locked in front of their residence. They discovered the lock had been cut and the bicycle was taken. The lock and helmet were left behind. Documentation was provided for the theft.

• Pursuant to being contacted over a suspicious circumstance in the 30 block of Via Hermosa, a Greenbrae man was searched per his probation terms. The subject was subsequently arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Violation of Court Protective Orders and Violation of Probation. He was booked at the Marin County Jail.

• TCPA Officers responded to the Corte Madera Town Center on a report by a Security Officer of a man that was riding a girl’s bicycle, and when he saw the Security Officer looking at him, got off the bicycle and went into a nearby business. The bicycle was left in the bushes by the business. It was checked and was determined to not be reported as stolen. Officers located the subject, a homeless man. He was arrested for Possession of Stolen Property, a knife that was taken from another Corte Madera business, and Possession of Narcotics Paraphernalia. He was released at the scene on a citation.

• An employee of a store in the Corte Madera Town Center reported a female subject had told them she was dropped off by a doctor from Palo Alto and she now was afraid to go outside because the person who brought her there was not safe. Officers responded and contacted a Palo Alto woman. Pursuant to further investigation at the scene, she was arrested for Possession of Stolen Property, Possession of a Prescription that did not belong to her, Public Intoxication and Providing a False Name to a Police Officer. She was booked into the Marin County Jail.

• A resident in the 10 block of Palm Avenue reported someone threw eggs on the hood of their vehicle. Documentation was provided for the Vandalism.

• A resident of the 10 block of Hazel Avenue reported his vehicle was missing. He stated he had left the vehicle unlocked, but all the keys were accounted for. A Vehicle Theft report was taken and the vehicle was entered into the Stolen Vehicle System.

• A resident of the 400 block of South Eliseo Drive reported someone accessed her PayPal account through her work computer. A Fraud report was taken for documentation.

• A Petaluma resident reported he parked his vehicle in a lot of a business in the 100 block of East Sir Francis Drake Boulevard in the morning and when he returned, he discovered his passenger front window was smashed. Another window smash burglary was reported nearby, in the Marin Country Mart Shopping Center, and a gym bag from the first Auto Burglary was found next to that vehicle. The bag was returned to the owner, but it was determined an iPhone and iPod were still missing. Two Auto Burglary reports were taken. A third window smash Auto Burglary was located in the wind surfer putout on East Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and was determined to be in the Marin County Sheriff's jurisdiction. The report was handled by the Marin County Sheriff’s Office.

• While on Patrol in the Cost Plus Plaza Shopping Center, a TCPA Officer located a vehicle behind Cost Plus with a window smash. The owner was contacted and responded to the scene. It was determined that nothing was taken from the vehicle. An Auto Burglary report was taken.

• A San Rafael resident reported her vehicle was stolen from where it was parked in a lot at the Corte Madera Town Center, in the area of the Bay Club. An Auto Theft report was taken and the vehicle was entered into the Stolen Vehicle System. The vehicle was later located in the parking lot of the Golden Gate Ferry Terminal with the windows smashed out. The owner was notified and responded to pick up the vehicle. The vehicle was removed from the Stolen Vehicle System.

• A Sausalito resident reported that while his vehicle was parked in a lot at a business in the 1500 block of Casa Buena Drive, his rear window on his vehicle was smashed and a gym bag, valued at $30, was taken. An Auto Burglary report was taken.

• A caller reported via 9-1-1 that a vehicle, occupied by three subjects, dumped a car load of trash and left on Tamalpais Drive. In the debris located at the scene, was a registration for a stolen vehicle, which had been stolen out of San Rafael earlier the same day. A report was taken for documentation and the information will be forwarded to the San Rafael Police Department.

• Pursuant to being contacted on a traffic stop in the 500 block of Tamalpais Drive, a San Rafael man was arrested for an outstanding warrant held by the Marin County Sheriff’s Office. He was booked at the Marin County Jail.

During this one week time period, we had 379 calls for service. This included two hit and run accidents and seven property damage only accidents. There were seven auto burglaries, one commercial burglary and two residential burglaries. There was one call related to Driving while Intoxicated, resulting in one arrest.
