Fairfax Woman Accused of Repeatedly Trying to Run Over Boyfriend in Corte Madera

Incident began with a dispute in a car in the area of Meadowsweet Dr. and Hawthorne Lane just south of Marin Joe's, police said.





A Fairfax woman got into a dispute with her boyfriend while she was giving him a ride, shoved him out of the car in a Corte Madera neighborhood and then repeatedly tried to run him over, according the Central Marin Police Authority.

Christine Nicole Selman, 32, was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and domestic violence at around 8:50 p.m. after an incident that began at around 7:10 p.m. at Meadowsweet Dr. and Hawthorne Ln. in the area just south of Marin Joe's, CMPA officials said.

Police received a report from a man that a friend was giving him a ride when they got into an argument, during which the female driver "attacked" him and pushed him out of her car.

The man told police that the woman was now driving around the area, trying to run him over.  Police received a second report from a witness who said a woman driving a black car was trying to run down a man in the neighborhood.

Police went to the scene and arrested both parties, including the man who reported the incident on suspicion of domestic battery. They were both booked into Marin County Jail.

Police also issued restraining orders against both parties.
