Fire Shuts Down Restaurant For The Night

Larkspur firefighter suffers mild injury in fire at Boca Pizzeria.

Diners were alarmed Thursday evening when a fire broke out at Boca Pizzeria in The Village.

The fire broke out in the flue over the wood-fired pizza oven, according to Larkspur Fire officials.

The fire started at 5 p.m. and was out by 5:40 p.m. The restaurant was shut down for the night, but was expected to be serving patrons again Friday.

One firefighter suffered a muscle strain during the action, the Marin IJ reported.
