Local Man Accused of Burglarizing Cars in Greenbrae Neighborhood

A 21-year-old Larkspur resident and a San Rafael man were booked on suspicion of burglary early Wednesday morning.

A Larkspur resident was arrested along with another man early this morning after Twin Cities police found them with stolen property in a Greenbrae neighborhood, according to Sgt. Theo Mainaris.

Maykon Da Oliveira, 21, and 21-year-old Mario Valenzuela, of San Rafael, were booked in Wednesday morning on suspicion of burglary, conspiracy, tresspassing and receiving stolen property. They are being held in lieu of $50,000 bail each.

Twin Cities police received reports around 12:30 a.m. of two men walking attempting to open the doors of parked cars around Via Belardo and South Eliseo Drive.

Officers arrested the suspects after they found Valenzuela and Da Oliveira with stolen property over the value of $200 on their person, Mainaris said.
