Man Arrested In Corte Madera For Fourth DUI in Less than 10 Years
A drivers' license check revealed that the San Rafael suspect had two prior suspensions from 2006 for DUI and that his license status was currently revoked due to a 2009 DUI conviction.
A San Rafael man was arrested Sunday on suspicion of drunken driving, which was his fourth DUI arrest since 2005, according to the California Highway Patrol spokesman Eric Hohmeister.
Silvestre Resendiz-Resendiz, 31, was booked in Marin County Jail, and his charge of misdemeanor DUI was elevated to a felony, due to his prior record, Hohmeister said.
At approximately 3:39 a.m. on Sept. 16, CHP officers observed Resendiz-Resendiz allegedly roll through a stop sign in a 1998 Chevy Silverado at the intersection of Paradise Drive and San Clemente Drive in Corte Madera.
When the CHP officers stopped the driver “they noticed objective symptoms of alcohol intoxication,” Hohmeister said in a release.

In total, Resendiz-Resendiz has three prior DUI convictions from 2005, 2006, and 2009. According to Hohmeister.
“Resendiz-Resendiz was on court probation through 2013 for his prior DUI conviction,” he said.
