Marin CHP Bust 14 for Underage DUI Since January

The youngest person caught driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs was a 16-year-old Novato teen.

Since the start of 2013, Marin County California Highway Patrol officers have arrested 14 underage people on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

While the youngest person busted was a 16-year-old Novato teen, half of the people arrested weren't Marin residents.

Five of the arrests involved drivers from Novato, Sonoma or San Francisco who were in a collision. One of the arrestees (a San Francisco 18-year-old woman) is facing felony charges because someone else was injured in a crash.

The bulk of the underage drinkers were age 20, according to the CHP.
