Police Arrest Suspected Child Molester

Teen steps forward with a claim she was raped repeatedly for more than 6 years by a family member.

Twin Cities Police arrested 50-year-old David Harder of Larkspur on suspicion of child abuse. He was booked into Marin County Jail on Tuesday and bail was set at $150,000.

A 17-year-old female reported on Sept. 13 that was molested repeatedly, beginning when she was 5. The abuse allegedly continued until she was 11 years old. 

"Subsequent investigation by the Twin Cities Police Authority verified the victim’s statements and obtained further evidence of the crimes," according to a press release by the Twin Cities Police.

Harder is facing five charges including rape, lewd and lascivious act with a child, continuous sexual abuse, oral copulation, sexual penetration with a foreign object.
