Police Blotter: Shoe Theft at Macy's and a Storage Locker Break-in

Here are the latest police incidents in Larkspur and Corte Madera from Monday, July 8.


Storage Locker Woes

A man went to his storage locker at 7 a.m. on Monday to discover that the lock had been broken off and his belongings – including his car keys -  were missing.

His car was also broken into, and items were removed from there as well. The Central Marin Police Authority took a report, and intends to follow up with an itemized list of everything that was stolen.

A Loss Prevention employee at Macy's on Redwood Highway in Corte Madera told police a known shoplifter and a companion made a purchase at the department store while also stealing a pair of shoes from the men’s shoe department. Police pulled over 44-year-old Sacramento resident Malik Tamboura Bell northbound on Highway 101 just north of Tamalpais to the rear of Macy’s. He also had a passenger in the car.

Bell complained of shortness of breath and chest pain, so the Corte Madera Fire Department was called to the scene. Bell was taken to first to MGH for a medical check, and then booked at Marin County Jail.
