Police Hunting For Greenbrae Bank Robber

Investigators can't say if there's any connection between Wednesday's robbery at Union Bank and a December holdup at Chase Bank.

Central Marin Police are asking for the public's help in locating the man who robbed the Union Bank branch in Greenbrae on Wednesday evening.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 40s, approximately 5-foot-6 tall, with green eyes. He was wearing a gray beanie with a design, a black jacket, black turtleneck shirt, black pants and black gloves.

He presented a demand note to the teller. The suspect was carrying a messenger bag or laptop size bag and told the teller to put the money into the bag. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled in an unknown direction. No weapon or vehicle was seen.

Police say they have no evidence connecting Wednesday's robbery to a Dec. 12 holdup at the Chase branch at 401 Sir Francis Drake Blvd. in Greenbrae's Bon Air Center. The suspect in that incident was described as white with a blond mustache, a black baseball cap, a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants.
