Police On The Hunt For Knife-Wielding Suspect In Assault

Attacker allegedly held a knife to a woman's throat and ordered her to kiss him.

Twin Cities Police are on the lookout for a suspect who held a woman at knifepoint on March 1.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic or light-complected Black male adult, approximately 5’9”, 150 lbs., with short, tightly-curled dark brown hair with reddish-colored highlights near the top of his forehead. He appears to be in his late 20’s to early 30’s, with freckled skin across cheeks and nose. He was last seen wearing a grey hoodie sweatshirt

Police responded to a 911 call from the victim at about 6:40 p.m. on Thursday, March 1. The woman was walking on Redwood Avenue near Tamalpais Drive in Corte Madera, when a man came up behind her, put the knife towards her neck and told her to kiss him. The woman screamed and pushed the knife away from her neck. She suffered a cut to the palm of her hand as she fought him off and was later treated at Marin General Hospital.

The attacker fled on foot before the police arrived. He remains at large.
