Student Caught With Ammunition On Campus

Twin Cities Police Log April 4-12: School fights, teens with marijuana and fraud reports keep the police busy during an otherwise quiet week.

• The Campus Supervisor for San Andreas High School reported they located a student with ammunition on campus. A juvenile Greenbrae male was arrested for Possession of Ammunition on a School Campus. He was released on a citation to a relative.

• Pursuant to three juveniles being contacted by an Officer in the area of Midway Road and Liberty Street, a Larkspur juvenile female and a Corte Madera juvenile female were arrested for Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Tobacco and released on citations to Redwood School High staff. They were eventually released to their parents.

• Pursuant to a traffic stop a Corte Madera juvenile male and a Larkspur juvenile male were determined to be under the influence of marijuana. A small amount of Marijuana was taken for destruction. The parents of both juveniles parents were contacted and they were picked up.

• A Commercial Burglary report was taken at Redwood High School for a theft from locker in the boy’s locker room. The lock was cut and $60 was taken. A Second Commercial Burglary report was taken for a theft from locked locker in the boy’s locker room in which an iPhone and a pair of jeans were taken. A Petty Theft report was taken for a theft of an iPhone and $40, also taken from the boy’s locker room, from an unlocked locker.

• A Tiburon resident reported he witnessed the sale of tobacco products to a minor at a business in the 2000 block of Redwood Highway. A report was taken and there is follow-up pending.

• An Assault and Battery report was taken at Redwood High School for a student who hit another student. A Corte Madera juvenile female was arrested for Battery on a Person on School Property and was released on a citation.

• A Loss Prevention Agent for Mollie Stone’s Grocery Store, located in the Bon Air Shopping Center reported a subject in custody for the theft of merchandise. A Santa Rosa woman was arrested for Shoplifting. She was released at the scene on a citation.

• An employee of Safeway, located in the Corte Madera Town Center, reported a female subject left the store without paying for a cart full of groceries. The subject left the parking lot in an unknown direction of travel. A Shoplifting report was taken and there is further investigation in progress.

• A Kentfield resident reported a "homeless" looking man on a bicycle tried to grab his 15 year old son. The subject was on a gray bicycle that appeared too small for him. TCPA Officer’s determined the event possibly occurred in the 10 block of Bon Air Road.

• A resident of the 10 block of Rich Street reported her e-mail was hacked. Messages were sent out to contacts in her address book saying that she was stranded in London after being robbed, the Embassy was refusing to help her, and requesting money be sent. Additionally, there has been damage to other files on her computer. A Fraud report was taken and there is possible follow-up pending.

• A Loss Prevention Agent for Nordstrom, located in the Village Shopping Center, reported an identity/credit card fraud which had occurred at their store. The total loss was $1,332.96. A Fraud report was taken and there is possible further investigation pending.

• A resident of the 20 block of Council Crest Drive reported someone used her credit card to make an online purchase. The loss is $961. A Fraud report was taken and there is further investigation in progress.

• A resident of the 400 block of Cane Street reported funds were taken from her bank account in the amount of $139. Her debit card was used on iTunes. A Fraud report was taken to document the incident.

• A San Francisco resident reported her black Apple iPhone, with a pink cover, and a yellow duck on the center button were stolen from her purse while she was at a restaurant in the 500 block of Magnolia Avenue. The loss is approximately $600. A report was taken and there is possible follow-up pending.

• A Loss Prevention Agent for Nordstrom, located in the Village Shopping Center, reported a male subject took six pairs of earrings yesterday and fled the area. He advised the subject was back today and he had approximately 10 pair of earrings and other jewelry he was now attempting to return. Officers responded and a Novato man was arrested for Commercial Burglary. He was booked at the Marin County Jail.

• A report was received from the Pittsburg Police Department of a forged check which was passed at the Apple Store, located in the Village Shopping Center. There is suspect information and an investigation is in progress.

• A resident of the 30 block of Birch Avenue reported the theft of a Rocky Mountain Vertex 30 women’s mountain bike, 24 speeds, from an open garage. The loss is approximately $1,070. A Residential Burglary report was taken.

• A resident in the 40 block of Corte Real reported a vehicle with the rear window broken and a flat tire parked in the area. The vehicle was confirmed with the Santa Rosa CHP Office to be an outstanding stolen vehicle. The owner was contacted. A Recovered Stolen Vehicle report was taken and the vehicle was removed from the Stolen Vehicle System.

During this one week time period, the Twin Cities Police had 311 calls for service. This included four calls related to hit and run accidents and eight property damage-only accidents. There were three commercial burglaries and one residential burglary. There were no calls related to Driving while Intoxicated.
