Vitamins, Luggage Stolen in Car Burglaries

A roundup of Central Marin Police activities also includes a man who threatened to shoot a driver after he honked at him.

Friday, Oct. 4

9:34 a.m. – A resident reported that between 6:51 a.m. and 9:34 a.m., someone smashed the front passenger window of his car, which was parked on Fifer Avenue in Larkspur. A blue backpack containing vitamins and a wallet was stolen.

10:53 a.m. – The rear window of a rental car parked in a lot on Redwood Highway in Corte Madera was smashed and luggage was stolen.

2:47 p.m. – On Larkspur Landing Circle, a resident reported that someone smashed the rear passenger door of his car between 1 p.m. and 2:47 p.m., stealing the driver's work cell phone.

5:21 p.m. – A resident of Eliseo Drive in Greenbrae reported that two people who matched the description of suspects in prior burglaries were spotted taking mail from her neighbor's mailbox. The men left in a car heading out of the neighborhood, but police were unable to find the men.

8:06 p.m. – At Redwood Highway and Wornum Drive in Corte Madera, a driver reported that a man walked in front of his car and that when he honked at him, the man said, "That's why I have a 9 millimeter in my backpack." Police went to the area and contacted a 29-year-old San Rafael man, who was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication and a probation violation. No weapons were found on the man's possession.
