The new Twin Cities Police Authority headquarters on Doherty Drive comes complete with a community meeting room, but check it all out yourself on Saturday during the ribbon cutting and open house ceremony. It all starts at 11 a.m. and is expected to continue throughout the day.

Book Passage Annex will slash the price of select used books in Saturday's sale to benefit Hospice By The Bay. The sale continues 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

• Research efforts into multiple sclerosis will be described in a meeting of the Marin County Multiple Sclerosis Group from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday at Aegis in Corte Madera at 5555 Paradise Drive. Members of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society will lead the meeting.

• Where's the biggest screen for you to watch the 49ers take on the New York Giants in Sunday's NFC title game? Try the Lark Theater, which will be showing the game live in HD at 3:30 p.m. Tickets are $10, but there isn't a bad seat the house. Plus, choose from all sorts of delicious snacks and drinks at the concessions counter.

• If you're hosting your own football party, don't forget to stop by the Marin Country Mart farmers market to load up on fresh foods, including fish, ribs, hamburgers, vegetables (for dip, right?) and more. The market is held every Saturday, 9 a.m.-2 p.m., rain or shine.
