Bay Area Plan On TAM Agenda

The Transportation Authority of Marin's executive board meets in San Rafael today at 2 p.m. to discuss controversial issues such as the One Bay Area Plan and the Greenbrae Interchange.

The One Bay Area Plan has been one of the most divisive issues to come before local governments.

The Transportation Authority of Marin will discuss some of the latest developments developments around The Association of Bay Area Governments and the One Bay Area Plan, which is used to allocate funds within the Bay Area for projects including housing and transportation.

The meeting is set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at 850 Lindaro St. in San Rafael.

The group will also discuss plans for the controversial Greenbrae Interchange. The project proposal includes a flyover on Southbound Highway 101 between Sir Francis Drake and Corte Madera to ease traffic congestion and make the road safer.

There are already some bumps in the road, however, as the plans for the flyover are not popular with some local business owners along that stretch of the highway.
