COM Candidates To Stump On Campus

Board of Trustees candidates to join in debate Thursday at 6 p.m.

Candidates for the College of Marin Board of Trustees are scheduled to participate in a debate on Thursday, Oct. 20, from 6-7:30 p.m. in the Deedy Staff Lounge located in the Kentfield Campus Student Services Building, 835 College Ave. The event is open to the public and is free of charge.

The following candidates have confirmed their participation: incumbent Philip J. Kranenburg, Joan Lisetor, incumbent Dr. Eva Long, Stephanie O’Brien, Peter Romanowsky, and Jack Wilkinson. Incumbent Dr. James Namnath is unable to attend the debate.

Candidates will be asked a variety of questions by a three-person panel, which will include a member of College of Marin Faculty Senate, an Associated Students of College of Marin (ASCOM) member, and a community at large member. An earlier debate, taped by the League of Women Voters and Marin TV will be shown on six dates on Comcast Ch. 27. Those dates are: Oct. 21, 2 p.m.; Oct. 25, 9 p.m.; Oct. 29, 9 p.m.; and Nov. 4, 6 p.m..
