Ferrera has also thrown his hat into the ring for one of the three spots opening up on the Parks and Recreation Commission. Pamela Fong, Joan Fray, John Herzenberg and Emily McFarland are also due to be interviewed for the position.

The Parks and Recreation Commission and Corte Madera's Parks and Rec Department have been very active lately in discussions regarding smoking bans and community gardens. The new appointees could change drastically the tone of the conversation.

• Presentation of honors to Clyde Marquart (Lifetime Achievement), Citizen of the Year Suzi Beatie and Volunteers of the Year Joyce Gordon and Joan Vaughan.

• An update on the work performed on the Golden Hind Pump Station.
