Corte Madera Council To Address Nuisance

The Town Council prepares to meet Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.

Now, the Council is preparing to follow up on that warning during its meeting Tuesday, Dec. 4, at 7:30 p.m. The Council agenda includes the possible "adoption of a resolution determing that a nuisance exists" at Young's home at 231 Chapman Drive. The Council could also order Young to clean up his property or else the Town will do it for him — and place a special lien on his home.

Neighbors have complained for the past 15 years that the property at 231 Chapman is in need of repair and cleanup, but that Young has been unresponsive to their pleas.

Young says he doesn't have the money for a wholesale cleanup project and that his ailing health also limits his ability to make property repairs.
