Greenbrae Puts Its Money Behind Its Political Picks

See how much money your zip code donated from 2010 to 2012.

Residents of Kentfield and Greenbrae together gave more than $1 million to political organizations and candidates in the current election cycle, far more than their neighbors in Larkspur and Corte Madera combined, according to The Huffington Post's fundrasing database.

The database tracks all political donations, compiled from the Federal Elections Commission's public records. The data displayed in the map above show all donations to candidates, advocacy organizations and political action committees from 2010 to 2012. The darker areas of the map indicate more money donated.

The 94904, 94939 and 94925 zip codes comibined to give nearly $1.5 million, including $1.2 million from Kentfield and Greenbrae residents. Corte Madera clocked in at $168,969 and Larkspur added $172,675.

The Tiburon/Belvedere area donated $2.8 million, while the Mill Valley zip code donated $2.1 million and San Rafael gave $1.9 million.
