Low-income households in Larkspur and Corte Madera could receive an exemption worth nearly $200.

While you've probably got taxes on your mind, here's a piece of potential good news.

The Twin Cities Police Authority has Very Low-Income Exemption forms available that could save qualified residents up to $197. The forms are available at the TCPA headquarters on Dohery Drive and at Larkspur City Hall and Corte Madera Town Hall.

When Larkspur and Kentfield residents passed the 2008 bond measure for the Twin Cities Police Authority, they agreed to pay a fee per household per year. Those earning less than the "qualifying income limits" as established by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development could be exempt from that fee.
