Public Invited To Comment On Ferry Connector

TAM is trying to bridge the gap for cyclists and pedestrians from the Cal Park Tunnel Path to the Larkspur Landing Ferry Terminal.

The Transportation Authority of Marin (TAM) will host an open house for community members to view and discuss draft conceptual bridge designs for the Central Marin Ferry Connection project. TAM and their consultants will also present the project’s process, schedule and milestones.

The CMFC Project will create a new multi-use pathway following the County’s North-South Greenway, which is generally located within the Sonoma Marin Area Rail Transit (SMART) right-of-way. The project is intended to further promote non-motorized commute alternatives and enhance recreational travel while providing safe, direct and convenient pedestrian/bicycle access between local transit facilities, schools, business centers and residential communities.

"The Project" will extend the Cal Park Hill Multi-Use Pathway to the south by constructing a new elevated crossing over Sir Francis Drake Boulevard (SFDB) with an access ramp leading down to an existing multi-use pathway connecting to the Larkspur Ferry Terminal as well as other destinations. The CMFC pathway will also be a convenient access location for non-motorized travelers destined for the future Larkspur SMART Station. Minor improvements to the existing multi-use pathway along SFDB from the Highway off-ramp to the Ferry Terminal will also be considered.
