Tampa TV Station Spotlights Marin's GOP Delegation

As Tropical Storm Isaac cut the 2012 Republican National Convention on Monday, WTSP/10 focuses on Sashi McEntee of Mill Valley, Kevin Krick of Fairfax and Sally Zelikovsky of San Rafael.

Tropical Storm Isaac incited the organizers of the 2012 Republican National Convention to delay much of Monday's agenda at the Tampa Bay Times Forum, including the formal nomination of Mitt Romney as the Republican presidential candidate to face President Barack Obama in November.

It did not, however, keep Marin's GOP delegation from both getting to work and taking in the sights. Delegates Sashi McEntee of Mill Valley, Kevin Krick of Fairfax and Sally Zelikovsky of San Rafael were the subject of a news segment on WTSP/10 in Tampa. The segment sought to highlight California's 172 GOP delegates and 169 alternates who are staying at the Tradewinds Resort on St. Petersburg Beach.

The California contingent attended a breakfast with New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and later watched the anti-Obama movie 2016.

"Obama's economic policies have clearly not moved the economy even as far as his greatest supporters woud have wanted and I think it's time to look for a change," McEntee told the station.

"We are really here to do business of the convention," said delegate Sally Zelikovsky.

Delegate Kevin Krick added, "The idea is to leave here with Romney and Ryan being our team and lead them on into the White House."
