Time To Clean Up For Corte Madera Town Council

Grand Jury Report on the Ross Valley Sanitary District is on the agenda for Tuesday's meeting.

"Not Again!"

Judging by the agenda for Tuesday night's meeting, the Corte Madera Town Council would like to see a positive solution regarding the Marin County Civil Grand Jury Report and the Ross Valley Sanitary District.

The final item on the agenda before adjournment reads, "Discussion and Possible Action to Authorized Sanitary District #2 Board President to Sign District’s Response to Marin County Civil Grand Jury Report: Ross Valley Sanitary District: Not Again!"

The Grand Jury report came out in June after December's major spill by the Ross Valley Sanitary District. The report called for greater oversight of the district to control spending and prevent future spills.

The meeting at Town Hall, 300 Tamalpais Drive, starts at 7 p.m. with the Town Council in closed session with legal counsel, followed by open session with time for public discussion and Town Council and staff reports.

The Town Council is also expected to hear from Marin County Community Development Coordinator Roy Bateman regarding any possible impediments to fair housing choices.
