The Beaumont High School football team will break in its new stadium Friday night with a non-league game against the Citrus Valley Blackhawks.

The stadium seats approximately 3,750 and features a synthetic turf field, all weather track and digital video scoreboard, said Beaumont High School Athletic Director Martin DuSold. It also features a field house at the north end of the complex that has home and visiting team rooms, a cheer/dance room, wresting room and weight room.

Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. and kick off is at 7 p.m. Tickets cost $5, and children under 12 get in for $3.

The stadium was financed with funds from the Measure Z bonds, approved by voters.

Press-Enterprise columnist Bob Pratte reported on the new video screen, which will also serve as a tool to teach students multimedia. Read more here.
