Child and Infant CPR/Defibrillator Training Class

This course is set to the guidelines of the American Safety Health Institute for Community CPR.

This basic life support (BLS) program is intended for expectant couples, parents, and community members who may need or feel compelled to respond to an emergency. This program is intended to convey and demonstrate the recommended lifesaving care that may be necessary at the scene of an emergency, especially those involving the care of a child or infant.

Using the most recent recommendations from the American Safety Health Institute, students will be trained to recognize and treat life-threatening emergencies, including sudden cardiac arrest, heart attack, stroke, foreign body airway obstruction, CPR and resuscitation, and defibrillation with automated external defibrillator.
