MODERN MOMS’ HEALTH FORUM

Have you ever wondered what controls your body and your children's healthy development?

How does your body make sense of the environment?
How does it signal hunger and fullness? How does it
communicate that it’s the right time to store fat or release it?

MOMS Advocating Sustainability (MAS), in conjunction with two physicians, Myrto Ashe, MD, MPH, and Michelle Perro, MD, D.HOM, (of Down To Earth Pediatrics), are offering a forum on Hormones.

Join us for a look at how environmental toxins affect our major hormones, including thyroid hormone, estrogen, stress hormones such as cortisol, and the basic functions of insulin. Recent research findings reveal that many chemicals in our environment mimic our hormones. We have many practical tips for families interested in reducing the impact of these chemicals on their health, and their children's development.

$5 donation suggested at the door. Babes in arms are okay.
