Five Things To Do Monday

Take time out to love Mother Earth.

ENVIRONMENT
• Peter Coyote talks with actor and activist Ted Danson about "Oceana: Our Planet's Endangered Oceans and What We Can Do to Save Them." The lecture, part of a series at Dominican University, begins at 7 p.m. The event is free, but guests can receiver preferred seating with the purchase of Danson's book at Book Passage in Corte Madera.

• Learn ways to reuse common items you have around the house to give them new life during this Earth Day-inspired crafting class at Paper Source in the Corte Madera Town Center, 7-9 p.m.

SPORTS
• School's out for the day, but there's still plenty of work to do on campus. Redwood High softball hosts Tam at 4:30 p.m. in a MCAL showdown.

• Marin Catholic hosts the Wildcat Invitational boys golf tournament at the Meadow Club. Tee off is 10 a.m. Also, the softball team takes on Branson at College of Marin at 4:30 p.m.

GOVERNMENT
• The Marin County Board of Supervisors will hold a special meeting at 9 a.m. today to discuss balance the county's budget. A second meeting will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m.
