Redwood Grads Ready For Giant Step

The Class of 2012 Friday took one last long look at the Larkspur campus where they've spent the past four years before accepting their diplomas.

The wind was enough to blow the caps right off the grads' heads, but the graduating Class of 2012 stood tall during Friday's ceremonies at Redwood High School.

As Liz Ahern and her classmates said, few of them know what the future holds, but several have already planned their next big step. Some of the grads decorated their red caps and gowns with the logos of the college they'll be attending next semester: Arizona, Oregon, UC Davis, Michigan and Cal among them.

Larkspur-Corte Madera Patch is in the process of creating a special photo gallery that will feature Redwood and Marin Catholic graduates — not to forget those who are from the area who are graduating from regional colleges — and are putting the call out to local Patch readers to send us your graduate's photos.

We will be publishing the gallery as soon as we receive the first couple of photos and the community will be building the photo gallery as it counts down to graduation ceremonies throughout the Twin Cities, and regionally. This is truly a homegrown photo gallery and something that you can help us build to honor graduates.

On the day of the graduation ceremonies, we invite everyone to upload a photo or two of the graduate in their moment of triumph.
