Stanford Wins Rose Bowl, 20-14

The Cardinal never trailed.

The Stanford Cardinal beat Wisconsin in the 99th Rose Bowl 20-14 in front of tens of thousands of Stanford fans who traveled to Pasadena for the Grandaddy of Bowl games.

It was Stanford's first Rose Bowl victory in more than 40 years.

Stanford's defense held the Badgers scoreless in all but the second quarter, when they allowed two touchdowns.

The second half was nearly scoreless, with the Cardinal putting three points on the scoreboard late in the 4th quarter.
