Redwood tips off NCS basketball playoffs tonight.

SPORTS
Let the games begin! The Redwood High boys and girls basketball teams open the North Coast Section Div. II playoffs tonight. The boys are at home as they begin their quest for a second consecutive NCS crown against San Lorenzo at 7 p.m.
The girls are in Santa Rosa to take on Montgomery at 6:30 p.m.

• College of Marin's baseball team hosts Hartnell at the Kentfield campus at 2 p.m.

LITERATURE
Book Passage in Corte Madera will host Jonathan Evison tonight at 7 p.m. as he presents his work "West of Here."

RECREATION
Drop in on the Wildcats for a game of Wiffle Ball. This Larkspur Recreation program is designed to give people with special needs an outlet for physical activity. Games are played every Tuesday at Hall Middle School's gym, 6:15-7:30 p.m. The drop-in charge is $5. For information, call (415) 927-5110.
