Larkspur Walkers Welcome New Members

The Larkspur Walkers, sponsored by the City of Larkspur's Recreation Department, welcome you to join them on walks that start and finish at Piper Park.

Since 1987, the group has met for walks along bike paths and trails, and climb the easement staircases in and around Larkspur rain or shine. Don't let the cold weather or rain discourage you. Thet have a good time getting out during the winter months, too.

The group walks approximately 3 miles within an hour, and routes include some hills and easements staircases as well as level terraine.  Meet at the east end of the parking lot, near the picnic area. Arrive 5 minutes early for easy warm-up exercises before the walk.

Give it a try and then decide if this is a program that fits your needs. Walkers easing back to activity after serious illness or injury are asked to check with their physician before join the Larkspur Walkers.

If you are visiting family or friends in Marin County and would like to join the Larkspur Walkers, contact the Larkspur Recreation Department or come directly to Piper Park and ask for Nancy Spivey, leader of the group. Joining is a great way to get to know the area and make new friends.
