Here are some of the highlights happening around the Larkspur and Corte Madera Twin Cities area August 18-19:
The Golden Gate Brass Band is planning a celebration of the 75th Anniversary of the Golden Gate Bridge for Sunday, 5-6 p.m., with a free concert at the Piccolo Pavilion in Old Corte Madera Square. “Musical Bridges to 1937” will include great standard tunes like “Happy Days Are Here Again” and “Puttin’ on the Ritz”.
Bring the family, a blanket or camp chairs for sitting on the grass, and maybe a picnic dinner. Relax and enjoy live music with friends and neighbors.
The Summer Concert Series continues until August 26. For information about the other bands performing this season, go to www.CorteMaderaCommunityFoundation.org.
