Larkspur's Upright Citizens
Larkspur City Council honors Dena Van Derveer and Nancy Spivey for their community work.
Nancy Spivey knows Larkspur like the back of her hand. She should, since she's helped lead the Larkspur Walkers through the city's parks and streets since she helped found the group in 1987.
Spivey had a lot of company Wednesday night at the Larkspur City Council meeting to help celebrate as she was named the city's Senior Citizen of the Year.
Dena Van Derveer was hailed as Larkspur's Citizen of the Year for her work with the PTA, school district, Corte Madera Women's Club and more.
