Let The Holiday Rush Begin!

Around Town Dec. 19-20: Free gift wrapping, Santa Claus and Chanakuh

• Need a hand with wrapping all those gifts you just bought? Never fear, volunteers from Hospice by the Bay are waiting at the Town Center Corte Madera with paper, tape and scissors in hand. Gift wrapping is free, but a donation is appreciated. And don't forget about the "World's Largest Turkey," which is collecting donations for the Marin Food Bank.

• Santa Claus is also in town ready to pose for photos all this week at the Town Center and The Village.

• Space filled up quickly for this holiday treat at the Larkspur Library with Nick Barone Puppets: Holiday Treats, an original 30-minute Christmas show on Tuesday, 11 a.m. Filled with lovable and friendly monsters and six or more holiday-like songs, this comical story is designed to delight families and children of all ages. Call or visit the library to find out about more special events.

• This season isn't only about giving and receiving gifts, of course. The Village is joining with the Osher Jewish Community Center and Max's Deli to present a week of Chanukah events, beginning Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
