The suspect in Monday's Wells Fargo robbery is also suspected in a series of bank robberies in San Francisco. Police are asking for the public's help in finding him.
The suspect in Monday's bank robbery at the Wells Fargo in Greenbrae's Bon Air Shopping Center is now believed to be responsible for a series of San Francisco bank heists as well. "It may be the same person," Twin Cities Police Detective David Woo said. "The way the robberies all went down are similar. Plus, the physical description is similar." The suspect is described as a white man between 40 and 50 years old, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 160 to 170 pounds, according to San Francisco Police. He is wanted in connection with a string of robberies that started with a robbery at a bank in the 300 block of Clay Street in the Financial District at about 11:30 a.m. on April 30. Police are examining video to get further evidence in the robbery that occurred in the Bon Air Shopping Center, just before 6 p.m.
Twin Cities Police are searching for a suspect who got away with an undisclosed amount of money after robbing the Wells Fargo bank at the Bon Air Shopping Center on Monday evening. The suspect is described as a white male adult, between 5-foot-8 and 5-10, weighing about 200 pounds, according to Sgt. Toby Miller. The suspect has dark hair, but was wearing a blue hat that covered most of his face. He is also described as wearing a grey sweatshirt and blue jeans with a faded paint stain on them. The suspect waited in line for an available teller, then presented a folder that contained a note demanding all the $50 and $100 dollar bills. • A resident of the 400 block of Via Casitas reported via 9-1-1 she could hear a male subject yelling in the street fronting the apartments. A second caller reported the same and that the subject was pounding on a door and yelling. Officers responded and located the male subject, a Petaluma man, who was arrested for Public Intoxication. He was booked at the Marin County Jail. • A resident of the 500 block of Via Casitas reported her windshield was vandalized on her vehicle. Two other vehicles were also located with damage. Twin Cities Police Log April 25-May 1: Corte Madera man arrested after reportedly hitting his girlfriend while she was holding an infant.
• An employee of Neil Cummins School reported paint was thrown on the outside of the building. A group of male juveniles were seen earlier in the PE closet and may be the responsible subjects. He stated he was unsure when the incident occurred, but the paint is still wet. The area was checked, but no subjects were located. A Vandalism report was taken for documentation. • A resident of the 30 block of San Clemente Drive reported via 9-1-1, her boyfriend pushed her and hit her in her head when she was carrying her 2-month old baby. Sausalito police arrest 41-year-old man who is suspected of stealing expensive road bikes from across the state and attempting to resell them.
A Sausalito man linked to thefts of high-end bicycles across Marin and the Bay Area was arrested at his home Friday on suspicion of stealing a $6,700 bike in Santa Barbara, police said Sunday. Jason Fashimpaur, 41, was arrested on suspicion of possessing stolen property and suspected methamphetamine in a case in which the San Francisco Police Department dubbed him the California Bike Bandit earlier this month, according to Sausalito Sgt. Steve Veveiros. Fashimpaur was arrested by the Twin Cities Police Department on April 24 for allegedly stealing a high-end bike from City Cycle in Corte Madera earlier this month. Twin Cities Police Log April 18-24: Fairfield man suspected of stealing a car, shoplifting and exposing himself in a store at the Town Center.
During this one week time period, Twin Cities Police had 317 calls for service. This included three calls related to hit and run accidents and six property-damage only accidents. There was one auto burglary, two commercial burglaries and four residential burglaries. There were no calls related to Driving while Intoxicated. Arrests do not necessarily equal convictions. • A Security Officer for the Corte Madera Town Center reported a female customer had seen a male subject indecently exposing himself in the back aisle of one of the stores in the shopping center. Twin Cities Police respond to a call about a suspicious man with a rifle near the Corte Madera Library, but find two juveniles with air rifles who thought they were playing an innocent game.
A call to police about a man with a rifle bag near the Corte Madera Library scrambled local law enforcement to the scene and caused some panic among passers-by on Tuesday afternoon. In the end, it turned out to be just two teens playing what they thought was a harmless game. Twin Cities Police received a call around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday about a caucasian male adult wearing camouflage and carrying a rifle bag while walking along Casa Buena Drive. Twin Cities Police, California Highway Patrol and Marin County Sheriffs units responded to the scene, searching for the suspect. They were surprised to find not one, but two suspects. The Twin Cities Police would like to remind drivers roads are slick due to the rainy weather. Please drive with caution and watch out for pedestrians and bicyclists as we all share the road. Slow your speeds and be careful of painted road surfaces and standing water. Did You Know?
