Derek Johnson, Neighbor

Hello everybody! As you can see, my name is Derek and I am twenty three years old. I was born and raised in Novato and currently reside there until I move to San Francisco this Summer. I am a recent graduate on Sonoma State University and graduated with a degree in English with an emphasis in creative writing. My interests include being a complete music geek, going to local concerts in the Bay Area, skateboarding, exploring, photography, and writing. What I hope to accomplish from contributing to Patch is being a voice for Marin teens and young adults when it comes to addressing certain issues, interests, and opinions that we commonly experience as we await entering into adulthood. I also hope to bring forth local events to check out, new local bands to check out, album reviews, new restaurant reviews, reflective pieces, photos from around Marin, and anything that comes to mind. Marin County has given me so much to be thankful for and appreciate over the years, I hope that I can return the favor with my contribution to Patch.
