I came to California from the east coast over 30 years ago and have lived in Marin County for almost 25 years.  I have been a Speech and Language Pathologist for the San Francisco School District, a retail business owner at the Village at Corte Madera, a Gymboree Play Program teacher and area manager, and a Children’s Entertainer here in Marin County for the last 15 years (Princess Polka Dot).  I am also a Grandma to my eight year old grandson, Evan.

To me it is all about your FUNitude and raising your FQ (FUNtelligence Quotient).

It’s about feeling inspired and focusing on the best in any situation – feeling good no matter what!  Life is supposed to be FUN!  When you add a sense of FUN to any situation, it transforms the experience for you and everyone around you. 

I love Marin County and am so happy to be writing a column for a our community about children and children’s activities.  I will be reporting on FUN family events, reviewing children’s books, movies, kid friendly restaurants and interviewing children (about almost anything) along the way.

I have a B.S. from Northwestern University, an M.S. from Columbia University and an F.S. (FUNmaster of Science) from Life University.  I am currently working on my Doctorates in FUNology from Eternity University and writing a book entitled, “It’s All About Your FUNitude – Raising Your FUNtelligence Quotient.”

I live in Novato with my wonderful husband, Robert and amazing cat, Asia.
