Rachelle’s cooking adventure really began when, after 16 years in the restaurant industry she was recruited from her job at the famous Lark Creek Inn under Chef Bradley Ogden to help open an exciting retail and cooking school concept, Home Chef Cooking School. She was again recruited, eight years later to become the exclusive private chef to George Lucas and his family for several exciting years, cooking for celebrities such as Catherine Zeta–Jones, Harrison Ford, Francis Ford Coppola and Martin Scorsese in events ranging from small private diners to large gala catered events. Other celebrity adventures include a private MTV event for Metallica at their incredible studio, private events for James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich and hundreds of top level, over-the-top catered events for Bay Area luminaries.

Rachelle is an expert ”chef- wrangler” and cooking event host, hired by celebrity chefs and event promoters such as Macy’s Union Square to emcee, manage events and teach several classes each year as “one of Macy’s Cellar’s biggest draws”. She worked with Tyler Florence at his home shooting his great book “Dinner at My Place”, and has hosted and stage managed events with Jacques Pepin, Wolfgang Puck, Thomas Keller, Ming Tsai, Charlie Trotter and dozens of others, never loosing sight of how blessed she is to work with the world’s most amazing chefs.

That gratitude is constantly being paid back to her community. Rachelle is a long time homeless advocate and a tireless youth mentor and was and honored as a “Hometown Hero” on Channel 5 KPIX for her work with at risk youth and the homeless with Homeward Bound of Marin and was a 2005 Marin County Volunteer of the Year nominee. Her work with the Homeward Bound’s groundbreaking Fresh Starts Cooking School as the Cooking School Coordinator brings top culinary celebrities such as Michael Mina, Joanne Weir and Heidi Krahling to exceptional cooking events for the public, raising money to support the Fresh Starts Culinary Academy, a job training program and in house catering operation. www.hbofm.org. She is the Executive Chef for “Operation Chef Youth Culinary and Nutrition Camp”, teaching hundreds of kids a year the joys of cooking and eating fresh foods. www.operationchef.com.
