Child's Christmas In Larkspur

Around Town Dec. 7-8: Library hosts a reading of the Dylan Thomas classic on Thursday.

• The Larkspur Library will host Rebound Bookstore’s returning reader’s theatre production of Dylan Thomas’ Child’s Christmas in Wales on Thursday, 7 p.m., at the library. The story has been re-imagined for four voices, with music. Audience members are encouraged to bring new or favorite Holiday season poems, music, benedictions, greetings or thoughts to an open microphone after the reading. This is quickly becoming a local seasonal favorite. Don’t miss it. Good Family fun.

Marin General Hospital invites the public to a meeting with the architects designing the new hospital campus Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the conference center at the hospital. Plans are underway to build a new, state-of-the-art hospital that meets the state’s seismic requirements.

• Harriet Heyman arrives at Book Passage in Corte Madera at 7 p.m. Wednesday to present Private Acts: The Acrobat Sublime. Photography collides with gravity-defying acts in this mesmerizing collection. Acey Harper shows the energy and beauty of nude female and male bodies, devoid of costumes, greasepaint, and stage sets, as they are photographed bare to reveal the acrobats’ art, craft, and emotions.

Gallery Bergelli presents a Winter Group show that includes fanciful works by several local artists. The show begins Thursday at the Magnolia Avenue gallery and runs through Dec. 16.

• Larkspur's Heritage Preservation Board meets Thursday at 7 p.m. in the City Council chambers.
