The Twin Cities area has some of the finest dining in the North Bay. Trying to find best restaurant around is a tough task, so we're leaving that up to you, beginning with the No. 1 Italian restaurant in our Best of Patch contest.

Okay, we may have just exhausted our Italian vocabulary. But while our Italian needs work, the Italian roots run deep in the Twin Cities — especially in our kitchens — with a dozen excellent restaurants serving up a variety of fare originating from the boot-shaped nation.
We're kicking off our Best of 2012 contest by focusing on Italian restaurants, and you have all the power. Voting comes in a variety of forms: you can vote in the poll below, but the pollis not scientific and is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner.
